Background

KlearCard is a Singapore-based fintech startup founded in 2019 to transform the way that businesses across APAC and the Middle East handle payments. The idea came from local Founders' collective frustrations with company expenses, reimbursement processes, and being left out of pocket as an employee.

Challenge

KlearCard was on the clock to launch their first product version and needed a dream team, fast. They had a prototype ready, but to level up, they required a squad of seasoned pros. This team needed to be a self-sufficient powerhouse, fully capable of owning the entire product development lifecycle. Their mission was to dig into data, dissect APIs, and drive development through iterative, agile methods.

Solution

KlearCard is a corporate spending control tool with a web dashboard for management and a mobile app for employees. It allows the creation of virtual company cards to manage and track expenses by project, team, or category.

We began by thoroughly researching MasterCard's API to ensure feature viability.

Next, our design and business analysts collaborated on user flow, UX/UI, and technical specs.

Given the financial nature of the platform, it underwent rigorous compliance testing, including VAPT. Our security measures ensured that the client passed all compliance tests.

The web interface allows you:

to manage teams inside your company;
issue virtual or physical card to an employee (integration with MasterCard API);
manage funds on their virtual or physical cards, set up auto top-up (weekly, monthly);
see detailed transaction reports & spending stats by team or user;
approve or decline funds requests from your employees;
manage users and assign company admins;

The fully-secured mobile app can be used not only as a usual online banking app to manage your virtual cards or see all transactions, but also to make a funds request to your manager.

We hired Wild.Codes to develop from scratch web and app products for our corporate expense management offering. The project was delivered successfully under an ambitious timeline and involved a lot of interaction with third parties.

They were good with communication, flexible when needed and showed a degree of customer service that is rare for offshore development teams.
