What problem does an AI hiring platform solve for engineering teams?

ChatGPT and Claude make every CV look polished, so a CV no longer shows whether an engineer can do the work. You find out in your own interview hour, one candidate at a time. In the Wild.Codes full search, the first technical interview happens before yours: engineers answer questions written for your role on camera, against a clock, and you watch the recording before you choose who to meet.

  • Every CV sounds the sameAI tools now write a polished CV for everyone.
  • Your interview hour goes to the wrong personHalfway in, the candidate cannot explain the project on their CV.
  • A recruiter interviews one engineer at a timeHere every candidate takes the same timed video interview for your role, so many are interviewed in parallel.

Who is the Wild.Codes platform for?

Wild.Codes is for CTOs, VPs and heads of engineering, and for founders with a technical owner, who have a specific engineering role to fill and a budget for it. Heads of people and in-house recruiters running a permanent search use it together with the engineering leader who owns the role. It is a poor fit when the engineering work is not defined yet.

What can you do on the Wild.Codes platform?

You use one app from the first description of a role to the hire, and on subscription through the engineer's months on your team. See who is free today, start a full search when nobody fits, watch recorded interviews, request your own interview and, on subscription, follow the engineers you hired. Seeing matches, the full search and the interviews cost nothing; you pay when an engineer starts.

Pre-selected matches

How does Wild.Codes match engineers to a role?

Describe the role in one line or paste a job description, then answer two or three short questions. Our hiring engine pre-selects engineers from the ready pool who are free today, and each card shows a monthly rate and the reason for the match. If one fits, request an interview. These matches are a preview of who is available now; the shortlist for your role comes from the full search.

Vetted engineers

How are engineers vetted before they reach my shortlist?

Each CV becomes a structured profile, and each shortlisted engineer gets a written technical assessment with a score. Engineers then take a timed video interview for your role. AI scores the recorded answers, a human expert checks those scores, and a talent manager makes the final selection before anyone reaches you. Our vetting page walks through each step.

Timed technical interviews

How do recorded interviews work on the platform?

In the full search, AI writes the technical questions from your brief. The engineer gets about a minute to read each question and think, then recording starts automatically and runs up to three minutes per answer. There is no AI interviewer: engineers answer to camera, and you watch the video and read the transcript before your own interview. Every candidate in the full search takes the same interview, so many can be interviewed for one role at once.

Engineer profiles

What do I see on an engineer's profile?

A profile shows the engineer's stack with the years on each tool, notes from the review, the scored written assessment, the monthly rate, availability, start date and country. Where the engineer has recorded an interview, the video and a transcript of each answer sit on the profile. You can request an interview from the same page.

Search and filters

Can I search the ready pool myself?

Yes. Besides describing a role, you can search the ready pool by role, stack and budget in plain words, then filter by experience, availability, start date and country. A country filter helps you find engineers whose working day overlaps with yours. Most engineers in the ready pool are senior or lead: about 3 in 4 have five or more years of experience.

Search progress

How do I follow the full search?

The app shows the full search stage by stage: role confirmed, sourcing, vetting, profiles ready, interviewing and matched. On subscription, the shortlist of 2-3 candidates arrives within 47 hours after you confirm the role. For a permanent hire, the first vetted candidates arrive within 5 workdays. Neither figure is a start date, which depends on the engineer's availability and your own interview.

After the hire

What happens after I hire on subscription?

The engineer works full time on your product, under your management. Wild.Codes handles payroll, contracts, compliance and PTO under one B2B contract and bills monthly per engineer, with nothing on top. Your engineers appear on My team in the same app, with their logged hours. Each engineer is a separate monthly engagement: to add one, open another role, and to end one, give 15 days' notice, or one day's notice in the first week.

Client API

Can my own AI agent work with the platform?

Yes, through the Wild.Codes Client API. Your agents can read shortlists, candidate profiles, interview questions, transcripts and videos, and they can request an interview. For engineers already working with you, agents can also read assignments and logged hours. Posting a role and making the hire stay with you and your team.

Subscription or permanent hire: which way should I hire?

Choose subscription when the engineer should work on your team under your management and you want Wild.Codes to handle payroll, contracts, compliance and PTO; subscription engineers stay with a client for about 1.5 years on average. Choose a permanent hire when you want an employee on your own payroll and contract. Both cost nothing until the engineer starts. The pricing page has a calculator that compares your first-year cost with a recruitment agency's fees.

How does an AI hiring platform compare with an agency, a freelance marketplace and recruiting software?

Engineering teams usually weigh four ways to fill a role. They differ in who runs the search, what you see before your own interview and when you pay. Recruiting software here means an ATS or an AI sourcing tool that your own recruiters operate. The table compares the four on the points a hiring decision turns on.

Questions about the Wild.Codes platform

What is an AI hiring platform for engineering teams?

An AI hiring platform for engineering teams finds, interviews and shortlists engineers for a specific role, and you hire from the shortlist. On Wild.Codes you describe a role, see pre-selected engineers with a monthly rate on each, and confirm the role to start the full search. In it, engineers take a timed video interview that AI reviews and you can watch, and a talent manager signs off the shortlist.

How does the Wild.Codes platform work?

Hiring runs in two steps. First, describe a role and see pre-selected engineers from our ready pool who are free today, with a monthly rate on each; if one fits, request an interview. If nobody fits, confirm the role to start the full search: our headhunter agent searches our network for your role, engineers take a timed video interview that AI scores and a human expert checks, and a talent manager signs off the shortlist you choose from.

Is Wild.Codes an ATS or AI recruiting software?

No. An ATS or an AI sourcing tool helps your own recruiters find and manage candidates, and you pay for the software whether or not you hire. Wild.Codes runs the search for you, and you hire the engineer: on subscription at a monthly rate, or as a permanent hire for a one-time fee. Nothing is charged until the engineer starts.

What does AI do on the platform, and what do people do?

AI agents source engineers and draft the outreach, write the interview questions for your role and score the recorded answers. A human expert checks those scores, and a talent manager makes the final selection for your shortlist. You run your own interview and decide whom to hire. The platform never hires anyone on its own.

Do I pay for the software or per seat?

No. There is no licence and no seat price. Seeing matches, confirming the role, the full search and the interviews cost nothing; you pay when an engineer starts. On subscription, that is $6,400 to $9,600 all-in per senior engineer per month, with a 160-hour monthly minimum and no placement fee. A permanent hire carries a one-time fee from 12% of the engineer's annual salary, paid on the start date.

Which engineers can I hire on the platform?

Full-time engineers who work only on your product, including QA, DevOps and data engineers. Our network has 15,000+ engineers in Eastern Europe and LATAM, and most engineers in the ready pool are senior or lead: about 3 in 4 have five or more years of experience. For a permanent hire, the engine also searches the open market where the role is, locally for on-site roles.

Can I try the platform without a call?

Yes, for the first step. Describe the role at app.wild.codes/hire and see engineers from the ready pool, each with a monthly rate, without a call and at no cost. To start the full search, today you confirm the role with us on a short call, and we check that your company is real and hiring before engineers record interviews for it.
